Delicious Cinnamon Rolls /// Recipe

I love eating delicious food, I mean, who doesn't? Recently, I've been baking cinnamon rolls a lot and they're really delicious. I'm not a professional chef or anything like that, but as I've said, I love eating and so I bake, as good as I can. The recipe that I'll be sharing with you is quite simple, the process doesn't take all day and is the key to delicious cinnamon rolls! I hope you'll give it try and taste for yourself how delicious they truly are!

You will need :

50 g yeast
150 g butter
5 dl milk
1,5 dl sugar
1 ts cardamom
15 dl flour

For the fill, you will need :

100 g butter
100 g sugar
 2-3 ts cinnamon

1. The first thing you need to do is to melt the butter. It's important to mix it often, so the butter doesn't get burned. Have the oven on low temperature and mix the butter until it's completely melted.

2. When the butter is completely melted, go ahead and add the milk. Make sure the milk is not too cold. Mix it with the butter well and make sure the mixture is lukewarm ( 37° C ).

3. Crumble the yeast into a mixing bowl and dissolve it in a portion of butter and milk mixture. Add the rest of the liquid and mix well.

4. Mix in sugar, cardamom and most of the flour.

5.  Knead the dough well and raise to double size (about 60 min).

6. Divide the dough in two parts. Pour some oil on the surface, and roll out each part to square chunks of about 35x35 m.

7. Add the fill all over the dough. I usually double the ingredients because I want the rolls to be even more tasty, but that's totally up to you. I've also added some cocoa and chocolate bites, if you are wondering why it is so dark.

You can add more sugar or less cinnamon, it's really up to you. Make sure the fill is not as liquidy as mine is, unfortuanely I left it in the microwave for too long. I never melt it in the microwave, because the fill must not be liquidy, but the butter wasn't soft at all which made it impossible to work with. Make sure the butter is soft, that way it will be easier to work with it and get a soft consistent mixture.

8. Roll the sides tight together. Cut each roll and make sure you cut them equally, that way they will be done at the same time.

9. Add the slices on baking sheets covered with parchment paper. Make sure the rolls have enough space in-between to bake.

10. You can add more sugar or cinnamon on top of them if you'd like. Bake the rolls in the middle of the oven at 200° C, for about 15 minutes. You can also sprinkle with a little extra sugar right after the rolls have come out of the oven.

11. Enjoy your delicious cinnamon rolls!

    1. Thank you so much! It depends on how thick you cut them, if you want them big then you cut them thicker. I usually cut them normal size and end up with approximately 30 rolls. It really just depends on how you cut them. Hope this helped & good luck. X
